Usage
For the correct application of Gel Polish 3-in-1, follow these steps:
- Use the flat end of the removal tool to gently push back your cuticles.
- File the surface of your nails and the free edges of ALL your nails.
- Remove all dust. Any remaining dust can reduce the longevity of your manicure.
- Wipe your nails with rubbing alcohol or acetone before applying the polish to remove excess natural oils. This will help the polish adhere to the nail surface.
- Shake the polish before use to ensure an even application.
- Apply the polish in thin layers to ensure proper curing, especially the first coat. The number one mistake is applying too much polish!
- Make sure to cap the free edge of each nail to help prevent the manicure from lifting.
- Apply at least two coats of polish. Some shades may require additional coats.
- Cure each coat for at least 60 seconds under an LED lamp or 120 seconds under a UV lamp. For darker shades, cure for at least 90 seconds under an LED lamp.
TOP TIPS
- Do not buff your nails to a shine before applying the polish! This creates a smooth surface, whereas filing creates a slightly rougher surface that helps the gel adhere better.
- If you don't have rubbing alcohol, you can use acetone to clean your nails before applying the polish.
- Keep each coat as thin as possible to help your manicure last longer.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to air before placing your fingers under the lamp.
- Do not apply gel polish onto or too close to the skin. If any gel gets onto your skin, use the removal tool to gently scrape it off before curing. Curing gel on your skin may cause your manicure to lift prematurely.
- For darker shades, cure for at least 90 seconds under an LED lamp.
- Keep the gel polish bottle closed when not in use and away from LED lamps while curing your nails. The polymers in the polish react to both LED and natural light, so store the bottle away from direct light.
- Apply and cure the gel polish as quickly as possible to minimize the exposure of unused product to air, dust, and natural oils, all of which can negatively affect the longevity of your manicure.
REMOVAL:
- File the surface of the semi-permanent gel manicure or pedicure thoroughly, without reaching your natural nail.
- Remove the clear adhesive backing from the back of the removal wrap.
- Open the wrap along the perforated line and place your finger inside, positioning the soaked pad directly onto your nail. The acetone in the pad will soak through and loosen the gel.
- Wrap the sachet securely around your finger, making sure it is firmly sealed and airtight. For better application and to prevent air from entering, use MUSE Society Gel Polish Removal Clips (sold separately) over the removal wraps.
- Fold both sides of the wrap tightly around your finger and secure it using the adhesive tabs. Leave on for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove the wraps. The polish should be cracked and loosened.
- Use the removal tool to GENTLY scrape away the remaining polish while it is still wet. DO NOT LET IT DRY.
- Gently buff away any remaining gel.
